Streetman Celebrates Grand Opening of New Model, New Section at Sendero Springs!

More than 150 homebuyers attended the recent grand opening of our newest section at the Sendero Springs community -- eager to see Streetman's new model home and take a tour of this great neighborhood! With refreshments, community tours, Pottery Barn gift card giveaways, and more, it was an ideal way for visitors to experience the newest Streetman Homes section in one of Austin's most popular communities.

This intimate enclave of just 93 homesites features greenbelt views and majestic trees. In fact, one-third of the large homesites in this new phase (including several that are more than a quarter-acre!) back up to an area that will always be a greenbelt – giving homebuyers heavily treed homesites and plenty of greenspace.

New model offers something for everyone

We've always been known for our creative floorplans that emphasize functional, usable space, and the new Mason model at Sendero Springs has all this and more! Imagine large windows that show off a spacious backyard and greenbelt scenery, eight-foot interior doors, 42-inch custom cabinets and granite counters in an expansive kitchen. The Mason also features such carefully thought-out details as stone accents, arches and art niches, 10-foot ceilings in the master, and a laundry chute on the second floor.

A sunken upstairs gameroom offers a Juliet balcony and recessed wall that’s perfect for a flat screen television, family movie nights and entertaining at home. With four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, study, formal dining, breakfast nook, and family room, this home truly has it all.

Plenty to do and great schools

Located in the heart of the extensive Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District (MUD), Sendero Springs residents have access to outstanding amenities with the Brushy Creek Community Center and Brushy Creek Lake Park – plus great schools like Round Rock’s Cactus Ranch Elementary, Walsh Middle School, and Round Rock High School.

Home prices for the new phase of Streetman Homes at Sendero Springs range from the $190s to the upper $200s with floorplans that offer from 1,600 to more than 3,000-square feet. For more information or to schedule a tour today, call 512-310-0127. We look forward to your visit!

Stressful Work Day?

There’s a picture on the wall at the cleaners I take my clothes to. It's of a man in a grey suit with slicked back hair, arms crossed and a scowl on his face. Underneath him there’s a caption that says, “You may have to go through the wringer at work, but you don’t have to look like it.” I don’t know why but I laugh every time I see it. It makes me think about my family and the community we live in. Work can be stressful sometimes, and if you’re like most people, on occasion, you will come home at night feeling like you just went through the wringer. Many times while driving home I find myself thinking about work, what happened that day and what needs to be done the next day, right up to the moment I turn into our neighborhood. But right there, that's where it all that stress seems to start fading away. For that reason is why great master-planned communities were designed with long, lush entry avenues. These boulevards were created as decompression zones for busy, stressed hard working people. It becomes a place for them to relax, roll down the windows and take in the beauty of their community. A place to take a deep breath and say to yourself, “I’m blessed to be alive and thankful for my family and home”. That's what makes a day of feeling like you've gone through the ringer all worth it. What an amazing feeling something seemingly so insignificant can produce. I hope you take the time to enjoy yours this evening.

Loving the Cooler Weather In Austin

What a weekend!! We hope everyone has been enjoying this fantastic weather. It’s just another reason why it’s great to be alive in Austin, TX!!

A lot has been said through the years about the benefits of living in a master-planned community, but its weekends like this one that allow a person to see it in action. In our Sendero Springs community in Round Rock we just had a family move in from Massachusetts where this time of year the average temperature is in the 50s. They are so excited to be in Texas to experience our milder winters. What was great this past weekend was the fact that they used this great weather to go to the pool. Yes, you read that correctly, they went to the pool! Now, for most of Texans it’s too cold to go to the pool, but for folks from Massachusetts this weather is perfect. They really enjoyed the climate controlled year-round swimming pool Sendero Springs has to offer. Just another example of why master-plan communities are a great place to live and raise a family.

Have a great week!

How about them Cowboys?

How ‘bout them Cowboys!? We know We know, rough start right? The question on Dallas Cowboy’s fans mind now is can Tony Romo lead the Cowboys to the Super Bowl this year. This is supposed to be ‘the year’, all the stars are aligned, the Super Bowl is in Dallas, it’s the 50th anniversary for the franchise and Dallas is supposed to have one of the best teams in the league. So what’s going on?
Allow us to offer this little glimmer of hope. The Cowboys had a tremendous playoff and Super Bowl run in the 90s starting in 1992 with that 13-3 regular season and ending with that incredible 52-17 win over the Bills in the Super Bowl. With everyone coming back in 1993 it looked as though Dallas was positioned for a repeat, expectations were high but do you remember how that next season started? 0-2. Dallas was slaughtered against their division rival on the road in Washington (sound familiar) and then beaten at home in a close game by the Bills, the team they had crushed less than a year before. Maybe injuries had a lot to do with it, who knows. The bottom line is we all know that season ended with another Super Bowl Championship!
Personally, we would love to see the Cowboys turn it around and get the opportunity to play a home game in this years Super Bowl! What a great thing for the state of Texas and the NFL.
We would love to hear your opinions on the Cowboys after the first two games. What about those Texans? Feel free to share. Have a great week.

Back to School!!!

Wow! Can you believe it? We’re already three weeks into the school year. Where did the summer go?! They say the older you get the faster time flies. This new school year is special to us here at Streetman Homes as two of our employees oldest children started kindergarten. This milestone causes you to reflect on the past and anticipate with hope for a great future for our kids. As a homebuilder it makes us proud to be a part of such a wonderful dream with our customers. We consider ourselves fortunate to be able to offer home ownership in communities that attend some of the best schools this area has available. Both our Sendero Springs Community and Highland Horizon Community’s children go to Exemplary Elementary and Middle Schools. Sendero goes to Cactus Ranch Elementary, Texas Elementary School of the Year in 2006 and Walsh Middle School, which opened in 2009 and has already obtained Exemplary status. Highland Horizon goes to Deepwood Elementary and Cedar Valley Middle School. Cedar Valley and Walsh Middle along with Canyon Vista Middle School are the only Exemplary Middle Schools in the Round Rock district.

Here’s wishing your family a wonderful year full of joy, excitement and learning.
